Wow! I've just blasted off into the Blogosphere and I don't feel a thing. Too bad weightlessness doesn't come with a blog; when one is planning a 114-day "Around the World" cruise, weight is really an issue to be dealt with, both in terms of luggage and one's own body mass.
To me, the birth of this blog marks the real beginning of our preparations for our great adventure. We've talked for hours on end of the things we need to do to get ready, but as of now its all just words, lists, and looks we give each other that say "is this the most exciting thing that has happened to you in your whole entire life????"
So, this is just a test blog to see if I, a complete computer illiterate, (and Ed will attest to that), can do this. Our next post will most likely be from Holland America's "The Amsterdam" sometime in January, 2008.
