Let me tell you my further tale of woe!! We woke up early this morning, showered and got ready for Split. We were anchored offshore and the town looked very charming from a distance. About 8:30 the Captain came over the intercom and announced that because of the rough seas our ship’s tenders would be unable to run and we were not going to visit Split. We were disappointed because in Barbara’s port talk she had made Split sound like a fascinating place to visit. So we split from Split and now have an unexpected sea day. But for me there is probably a silver lining. I have another day to rest my back, which is still sore but not overly painful. Plus, instead of 4PM aerobics today I’m going to go to 4PM Bingo. Maybe that will be the REAL silver lining!
We are not going to Libya, as previously planned, because Libya won’t permit Jewish people to go ashore!!!! So we’re headed now to Malta.
PS: I went to bingo and won the coverall game!! $61 but that’s better than nothing.
